Come Audition for the 2024 Season
The San Diego Sharks are excited to invite dancers to join their team for the inaugural 2024 season! Comprising a diverse and talented group, our dancers will showcase their skills at home games and embody the spirit of the Sharks on and off the court. We seek professional, energetic, and athletic dancers with a flair for performance and a commitment to excellence. As ambassadors of our organization, dancers should embody high-energy performance and a strong work ethic. We’re casting ladies skilled in Pom, Jazz, Jazz Funk and Hip-Hop, with a focus on synchronized team choreography. Join us in bringing dynamic performances to every game!
Audition Requirements
- Candidates must be 18 years or older by January 20, 2024.
- Full-day attendance at the audition is mandatory.
- Immediate availability for start is required.
In-Person Audition Details
- In-person audition on January 20, 2024.
- Audition starts at 2pm.
- Audition location is Jibe Studio 2315 Fletcher Parkway El Cajon, CA 92020.
- Please bring a headshot or body shot stapled to your resume.
Audition Wardrobe
Stylish athletic dance attire with performance hair and makeup is recommended. Sneakers or jazz shoes are acceptable.
Commitment
- If chosen for the team, evening rehearsals begin January 22 and 23, 2024, with two mandatory evening rehearsals weekly before the season starts.
- Once the season starts, 1-2 mandatory evening rehearsals scheduled weekly with additional rehearsals as needed.
Season Schedule
Participants must be available for all photo shoots, events, rehearsals, and games. The season runs from March to May, with one preliminary game in February and playoff games in June 2024. Games are scheduled once or twice weekly, typically on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.
Compensation
The position is part-time, with payments for games and select appearances.
