Bring the energy. Be the face of the Sharks.
The San Diego Sharks are looking for energetic, expressive Mascot Performers
to bring Crunch the Shark to life on game nights. This role is perfect for
performers who love engaging crowds, creating memorable moments, and being at the heart of the fan experience.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform as Crunch the Shark during home games and select appearances
  • Hype up the crowd, interact with fans, and support in-game promotions
  • Engage with kids, families, and sponsors for photos and on-court moments
  • Coordinate closely with game operations and entertainment staff
  • Maintain character, energy, and professionalism at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Prior mascot, performance, dance, cheer, or acting experience preferred
  • High energy, strong physical stamina, and comfort performing in costume
  • Ability to engage diverse audiences nonverbally and improvise in live settings
  • Reliable and punctual — must arrive 60–90 minutes before tip-off
  • Team-first attitude and positive, outgoing personality

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to wear a mascot costume for extended periods
  • Capable of walking, dancing, and performing light physical activity
  • Heat tolerance and awareness of personal limits while in costume
